GANAP (Galaw, Awit, Ngiti, Arte at Palakpak) Performing Arts Association, Inc. is a non-profit association, established on 01 September 2016, then known as GANAP Quezon City Polytechnic University (QCPU). It was duly registered with the securities and exchange commission last 28 may 2018 (CN201808508) and has been accredited as a youth-serving organization by the National Youth Commission, envisioned as a venue for enhancing the potentials of impoverished young talents of Quezon City, molded to be ambassadors of culture and the arts, bringing honor and glory to the country.
On its first international tour in 2018, the group received three silver diplomas at the 5th Singapore International Choral Festival; selected as one of the 14 international participating choirs at the 3rd Macau International Choir Festival; and invited by the Holy See as the featured performer during the birthday concert in honor of His Holiness Pope Francis. In 2019, the group was awarded with the prestigious 2019 Manuel L. Quezon Gawad Parangal for Most Outstanding Institution, then embarked to its USA Goodwill Concert Tour “Lingkod”, where it received three Special Congressional Recognition from the US House of Representatives, and featured in “Good Morning Las Vegas!”, an American television program aired via KNTV Channel 13.
Today, GANAP has blossomed into a versatile performing group, known for its original musicales conveying political and socio-cultural image of our country and for its world-class concerts. Despite its inactive status during the pandemic, it continued with its outreach activities and defied conventions by integrating performing arts in the digital society. Under the leadership of its Artistic Director Dr. Alexis Jan "Agoy" Patacsil, GANAP continues to soar up high, thriving at a time of adversities and making an impact in conveying not just the colorful image of the Philippine culture and the arts, but also its resilience in turbulent times. A theater company, a dance troupe, a band and a choir—all combined into one GANAP Performing Arts Association, Inc.
