Synopsis

“PINTIG” is an original musical production featuring a libretto and music by GANAP’s Artistic Director, Agoy Patacsil, along with selected compositions by Melani Pisig. This heartwarming musical draws inspiration from the life story of the librettist’s mother, showcasing her unwavering love and devotion to her family as she courageously navigates through their trials and tribulations. However, as the story unfolds, she becomes ensnared by the relentless grasp of a formidable adversary: breast cancer.

Now, it is her family’s turn to rise to the challenge, armed with the most potent weapons at their disposal—love, faith, and hope. Through their collective strength and determination, they embark on a journey to conquer the pathological disease that threatens their beloved matriarch.

“PINTIG” not only marks its maiden performance but also serves as an outreach project by GANAP, with a dual mission of promoting breast cancer awareness and contributing a portion of its proceeds to support the Philippine Foundation for Breast Care, Inc. This musical is a poignant tribute to spiritual fortification and the power of love in the face of adversity.

“MITHI” is a comedy-musical that explores the sensitive topics of teenage pregnancy and abortion. It showcases compositions and musical arrangements by none other than our National Artist for Music, Maestro Ryan Cayabyab. The story revolves around a young woman named Chesybell, who is adrift in her studies, life, and matters of the heart due to the absence of parental guidance. As an orphan, she seeks solace in the care of her relatives, but her path takes an unexpected turn when fate introduces her to three young men who further complicate her thoughts and life. Adding an enigmatic twist to her journey is another man, the catalyst behind her pregnancy.

Ultimately, though uncertain about the challenges that tomorrow may bring, Chesybell is resolute in her aspiration to provide a better life for her child.

This haunting vision compels Justin to embark on a series of vlogs aimed at alerting the populace. However, this crusade inadvertently propels him into the precarious realm of social media infamy, as he garners a legion of critics and adversaries. It is only on the fateful day when he predicts “The Big One” that Justin discerns a profound truth: an earthquake of a different kind has been silently rocking society for an extended period, and the masses remain blissfully oblivious.
