Cristopher John Lejos

I go by Cristopher John Lejos, but most know me as “CJ.” I reside in Quezon City and am a proud alumnus of Quezon City University, where I earned my bachelor’s degree in information technology while nurturing my passion for music. Born into a financially challenged family, I had to step into the role of a freelance instrumentalist to support my educational journey.

During my time at the university, I yearned for a music-related community, and that’s when I discovered the GANAP Performing Arts Association Inc., formerly known as GANAP QCPU, a performing arts organization affiliated with Quezon City University. This group has been instrumental in shaping my personality, instilling discipline, and deepening my knowledge in the realm of music and the arts. One of the things I deeply appreciate about GANAP is the freedom it provides for each member to express their individual feelings through singing, dancing, and acting. In our theatrical performances, every movement is a canvas for personal interpretation, allowing us to infuse our creativity and enhance our skills in character portrayal.

As a musician within the group, I’ve learned the art of communication with my fellow performers. I’ve honed my ability to adapt the music’s mood to match the interpretation of the actors, singers, and dancers. This collaborative experience has not only enriched my musical expertise but has also fostered a sense of unity and shared creativity within our ensemble. My journey with this group has not only developed my musical talents but also nurtured my personal growth and artistic expression, thanks to the sense of freedom and collaboration it offers to its members.
