Hi, I’m Jephanie Jane A. Herrera, but most people call me “Jeph” or “Ate Jeph.” I’m an alumna of Quezon City University, where I earned my degree in Information Technology in 2017. I’m also a founding member of GANAP Performing Arts, where I sing as one of the Soprano voices. Currently, I work as a 2D and Toon Boom Harmony Animator, and some of my work can be seen on platforms like Netflix and YouTube.
My journey in the world of performing arts began in high school when I dreamed of being a part of a music or theater organization to showcase my talent. However, coming from a financially challenged family, I needed to find a scholarship to attend college. Fortunately, I joined two theater groups within our university and secured a scholarship. Soon after, GANAP QCPU, the former name of GANAP Performing Arts Association Inc., was established.
To me, GANAP is more than just an organization; it’s my second family. It’s a place where we not only develop our talents but also our personalities. GANAP has taught me valuable life lessons, thanks to our Artistic Director and Mentor, Agoy Patacsil. He instilled in us the values of unity, leadership, humility, and a strong work ethic, which I still apply in my personal and professional life today. GANAP is my artistic sanctuary. One of my most unforgettable moments with GANAP is my lucky number 7 audition, judged by Sir Agoy. His smile throughout my performance and his words on the paper saying “I really like her” are etched in my heart and memory. Inspiring and touching people’s hearts through our music fuels my passion as an artist, and I can’t wait to create more memories with GANAP.
