Hi! I’m Karl, often referred to as “Kuya Karl” in the GANAP community. I’m 28 years old and one of the founding members of the GANAP Performing Arts Association. Back in 2016, I graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Entrepreneurship, specializing in Marketing from Quezon City University.
You might be wondering why I joined GANAP. From a young age, I learned to be self-reliant and that life can be tough, but I’m tougher. During my college days, I pursued scholarships to fund my education, and that’s when I stumbled upon the world of Performing Arts. Through hard work and determination, I not only completed my degree but also gained invaluable life experiences. Joining GANAP as a core member, I was eager to give back to my alma mater and serve as an alumnus. It was here that I discovered my true passion for the performing arts. GANAP taught me adaptability, effective teamwork, and the essence of leadership. Over time, I challenged myself to become a great leader and watched our members transform into exceptional performers on stage. Much credit for my personal growth goes to our artistic director and my mentor, Agoy Patacsil, who shaped me into the person I am today. The leadership skills I acquired at GANAP also opened doors in my professional life. I proudly became a college instructor for the NSTP program, and I’m immensely grateful for the opportunity.
Among the many unforgettable moments with GANAP, our tour in the United States stands out. We had the pleasure of meeting incredible people, indulging in their signature dishes, and enhancing our performance skills. It was a truly enjoyable experience, and we’re already planning our return trip with excitement and anticipation.
