I’m Love Enriquez, 26, born on September 8, 1997, hailing from Quezon City. I hold a degree in Entrepreneurship from Quezon City Polytechnic University and proudly belong to the GANAP Performing Arts Association Inc.
My journey in music spans nearly two decades, including a failed attempt at a singing reality competition on television, which momentarily dampened my spirits. Choir participation later rekindled my confidence in singing, but there came a point when my family urged me to prioritize sustainable work over pursuing my passion. In my fourth year of college, I took my first audition for GANAP, passing it but initially not joining due to commitments with the Quezon City Performing Arts. However, a subsequent audition announcement rekindled my eagerness to perform, and the promise from our artistic director to create a song for me sealed the deal. Today, I stand as one of GANAP’s sopranos and a soloist.
People often ask why I chose GANAP despite other opportunities. My answer is simple – GANAP has been my sanctuary during challenging times, offering me a sense of belonging and a place where I can truly be myself. It’s more than an organization; it’s my family. One of our most cherished memories was competing at the Singapore International Choral Festival. Despite having just three months of training, the unity and heart of the choir were evident as we sang “Ama Niamo (Our Father)” and our artistic director mouthed “I love you all.” It was a magical moment, and it felt like my first international tour. In GANAP, I’ve encountered many firsts and found a second family. Our humble beginnings have made us resilient, allowing us to overcome life’s challenges and create a refuge for ourselves.
