Mabuhay! I’m Raymund Francis Madali, but everyone in the group knows me as Mundi. I could be considered one of the most “seasoned” members of GANAP, not just because of my age but also due to my extensive experience in the performing arts. Before joining GANAP, I was a tenor with the University of the Philippines Concert Chorus from 2005 to 2015, and I had the privilege of touring the world with “Korus” in its five world concert tours. During my time with Korus, I formed close friendships with Gabo, the group’s bass singer, and Agoy, who was also a bass singer and soloist back in Korus and is now the Artistic Director of GANAP. Our shared experiences in Korus have now brought us together in GANAP Performing Arts Association.
I still vividly recall when I joined GANAP back in 2019 as an invited tenor to perform with them in a local choral competition here in Manila. Before officially joining, I had already heard about GANAP and seen them perform through my good friend Agoy. From the moment I became a part of GANAP, I knew I had found something special. It wasn’t just about our shared love for performing and creating beautiful music; it was also about the unique stories of each individual in the group. I am deeply humbled by their diverse experiences, and I feel grateful for the opportunity to share my time and experiences with them.
Even though I’m one of the older members of the group, I am constantly learning from them, just as they are learning from my choral and performing experiences. The bond we’ve created is like a family, and the music we create together is a harmonious ensemble ready to be heard by the world. Being a part of GANAP is more than an experience; it’s a journey filled with wonders and talents waiting to be discovered and shared on a global scale.
